Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will be organizing the 8th CII -EXIM Bank Conclave on India Africa Project Partnership 2011 from 18-20 March 2012 at Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi with the support of Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India and Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
During its journey of past 7 editions, the CII Conclave on Africa has been established as the definitive platform for India-Africa business engagement. The Conclave has attracted Heads of States, Ministers, Senior Government representatives, Business Leaders, Think Tanks from both India and Africa and has been recognized as a collaborative platform for both Governments and Business.
The 7th Conclave held in March 2011 in New Delhi was the largest in the series with Prime Ministers of Mozambique and Togo, Deputy Prime Minister of Somalia and 34 Ministers from different African Countries participating. There were also more than 650 delegates from across 36 African countries and 200 projects worth more than 18 bn USD that came up for discussion.
It is expected that the 8th Conclave to be an important milestone to help us create a long term vision for economic engagements between India and the African economies. This will also support the Government-to-Government interactions and build a strong backdrop to South-South Cooperation.
