This event will bring together national government, regulators, renewable energy developers and energy efficiency service providers and financiers. The aim is to promote renewable energy and energy efficiency to ensure sustainability of industry through sustainable and clean energy.
The event is planning to attract fifty exhibitors and attract more than 150 participants and more than 5000 exhibition attendees. The conference will culminate with the high level CEOs forum which will bring together top industrialists and thought leaders in discussing the role of the private sector in ensuring a sustainable society and especially the role of clean energy to achieve this.
1. CEO’S FORUM
Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) through the Center for Energy Efficiency & Conservation (CEEC) will be hosting its 3rd CEO Forum to drive the sustainability agenda.
The forum will take place on March, 30 2017 from 2:00pm at the Safari Park Hotel during the Sustainable Energy Week, and will constitute senior management officials from various organizations. It is themed, Financing the Next Phase in Clean Energy Development, and aims at providing a platform for participants to interact and learn about clean energy developments.
2. ENERGY MANAGEMENT AWARDS 2017
Energy Management Awards (EMA) 2017 will take place on 31st March 2017 at Safari Park Hotel Nairobi from 6:00pm – 10:00pm
Under the theme “13 years on towards a green economy”, EMA 2017 will bring together stakeholders in the energy sector to celebrate excellence in energy management.
EMA was launched in 2004 as collaboration between Kenya Association of Manufacturers, Global Environmental Facility and the Government of Kenya.
Participation in the award is open to all industrial, commercial and institutional enterprises. Organizers receive application forms and assessment tools, which are completed and submitted for evaluation by the technical committee. This team then conducts visits for verification of the submitted data.
The assessments are then presented to the panel of judges, who adjudicate and nominate the winners and runners-ups, based on the set criteria.
