Central Kenya Chapter Holds a Forum for Mt. Kenya Region

KAM Central Chapter held a forum on May 26, 2017 at Nanyuki with the aim to reach manufacturers in the Mr. Kenya Region.

The Chapter Chair, Mr. Anup Bid noted that the chapter is keen on interacting with members from the larger Mt. Kenya region despite the distance from the Chapter Offices in Thika. The Chapter covers Kiambu, Murang’a, Nyeri, Embu and Meru Counties

“Our aim and prayer is to have a fully fledge chapter covering the six counties in Mt. Kenya region. However, this can only happen if we marshal enough members and encourage them to actively participate in KAM both at National and chapter levels,” added Mr. Anup.

Members present from the region applauded the effort by the chapter to bring the event closer to them. “It’s a great gesture to have the KAM Team, both from the chapter committee and secretariat to come to our region,” said Sammy Karimi of Raka Milk processors based in Nyeri.

The event featured a talk on “Succession on Family Business” by Paul Ouma, Founder and Principal Consultant, Institute For Family Business (IFFB).

Present at the forum was the KAM Vice Chair, Mr Sachen Gudka and potential members from the region.
